Auditor or Bachelor's graduate (m/f/d) in economics and/or controlling with/without professional experience for funding processing

Your mission is to review all payment processes and the handling of funding and compliance with (funding) legal requirements. You will work closely with the management and the (scientific) project managers in an interdisciplinary and collaborative working environment at the intersection of science and industry in the paper sector.

Your mission

Your tasks

  • Your expertise is sought to review all payment processes, handling of funding and documentation
  • You ensure that all legal requirements and requirements from the grant notifications are met
  • You create the payment requests and funding calls based on the expenditure
  • You check the voucher lists for the processing of funding
  • You check the documentation of the awarding process
  • You create all documentation for controlling the processing of funding
  • You support the research team in the application process
  • You build up expertise in controlling in the area of funding processing
  • You have successfully completed training as an auditor and/or a bachelor’s degree in business administration / controlling
  • Ideally, you have experience in the following disciplines and would like to expand your knowledge in these areas: handling and checking payment processes, handling subsidies, ensuring legal requirements and necessities in dealing with public subsidies, higher-level documentation and checking voucher lists.
  • The topics of environmentally friendly processes and sustainability (in the paper industry) are important to you
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative team and developing efficient processes together with your colleagues to contribute to continuous improvement
  • You like to take initiative and work independently in an innovative environment
  • You are enthusiastic about working in structured and standardised processes in the area of procurement, payment and controlling procedures.
  • With your excellent communication skills in German and English, you can convey complex concepts precisely
  • Practical experience in handling and coordinating procurement procedures (national, EU, international) is a plus.

Location

The Modellfabrik Papier will be built on the site of the Innovation Quarter at the Düren train station. Until the completion of our new building in early 2025, our activities will take place at the Jülich Research Center. Further office space is currently located in the CO_SPACE.DN.
