Your mission is to coordinate internal and external activities in the areas of communication and public relations. You will work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment at the intersection between science and industry in the paper sector, carry the work of the Model Factory Paper to the outside world and thus act as its mouthpiece.

Your tasks

  • You will create valuable and targeted content for our website, the company LinkedIn profile as well as other social media and other online platforms in the future.
  • Together with the team, you will lead the development and implementation of internal communication strategies and materials.
  • You will be responsible for conceptualising and designing interactive subpages of the website to communicate updates on funded projects.
  • You will organise interviews, write articles and maintain contacts with journalists and media representatives.
  • You will organise participation in (major) events and support the preparation of internal meetings of various sizes. You organise internal meetings of various sizes.
  • You will hold discussions with external service providers for the commissioning of digital and analogue communication media.
  • You will coordinate the quantitative evaluation and analysis of activities in order to make public perception and brand awareness measurable.
  • You have completed training or a university degree in communication design, graphic design or similar or another relevant qualification in public relations, marketing or similar.
  • You have your own innovative and creative ideas and are motivated to familiarise yourself with new tasks and software applications.
  • Your organisational skills and instinct for forward-looking and strategic planning help you to keep an eye on all deadlines and events.
  • You are characterised by very good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Your knowledge and familiarity in handling and using social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.)
  • Your independent and self-reliant way of working helps you to work in a dynamic environment and coordinate internal/external contacts.
  • Ideally, you already have experience in successful collaboration with various stakeholders from industry, science and/or politics. Ideally, you already have experience of working successfully with various stakeholders from industry, science and/or politics.

Location

The Modellfabrik Papier will be built on the site of the Innovation Quarter at the Düren train station. Until the completion of our new building in early 2025, our activities will take place at the Jülich Research Center. Further office space is currently located in the CO_SPACE.DN.
